Hind institute of medical sciences (HIMS), Lucknow was established in 2005. The institute is run by Hind Charitable Trust and is a vision of managing board of Shekhar Hospital to make a world class institute for medical and para medical education. The institute is affiliated to Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University and is approved by Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi and recognized by the state government. The mission of the Hind Institute of medical sciences is to provide compassionate health care to the highest quality in a setting of education and research, the hospital operates with a vision of delivering high quality, cost effective, family oriented services under one roof.

The institute goal is to provide best medical and paramedical education supported by ultra modern equipments and facilities. HIMS has got permission from Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This hospital also got permission from State Medical Faculty to run 9 diploma courses and recognized from Indian Nursing Council to run GNM ,Bsc Nursing & ANM courses. HIMS is providing free medical care to the weaker sections of the society without compromising in the quality of medical care. 20% Out of 350 general beds in the general ward are allotted for free treatment. Hind hospital has got permission in many Goverment.
